Team Ontario Provincial Team
The Ontario Cheerleading Federation (OCF), the recognized Provincial Sport Organization for Cheerleading in Ontario, would like to invite Stunt Groups to Tryout for the Youth or Junior Team Ontario (All Girl or Coed).
Both the Youth and Junior teams will be competing in the Advanced Division - Please see the list of Skill Requirements needed to attend Tryouts.
In-Person Tryouts will be held at Beach Cheer Athletics (38 Milne Ave, Toronto) on Friday, June 13 (5-9pm) and Saturday, June 14 (9:30am-12:30pm). Applicants are expected to attend both days.
Video submission option is available for those who are unavailable to attend In-Person Tryouts; however, preference will be given to those who are present at tryouts.

Call for Applications
The Ontario Cheerleading Federation is looking for Ontario’s best athletes in order to create 2 teams to represent our province. We are hopeful to have Team Ontario chosen to represent our country at the 17th Annual ICU Youth and Junior World Cheerleading Championships (April 2026) in Orlando, Florida.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ONLY CURRENT OCF MEMBERS ARE ABLE TO APPLY
Details: Both a Youth and a Junior Team Ontario will be created with a maximum of 28 athletes chosen per team. Of these 28 athletes, 24 will compete and 4 will be alternates.
Eligibility:
All competitors must satisfy the following conditions:
- a) All athletes are required for a minimum of six (6) months to be a permanent resident of Canada on the 2026 World Championships date of competition;
- b) Age of Athlete - Youth World Cheerleading Championships.
12-14 years of age within the year of the 2026 Youth World Championship. - c) Age of Athlete - Junior World Cheerleading Championships.
15-18 years of age within the year of the 2026 Junior World Championship
Applicants: Submissions to Team Ontario must meet the following criteria:
- Be a current registrant of the Ontario Cheerleading Federation and provide registrant numbers;
- Must be a resident of Ontario and have the ability to travel internationally;
- Complete the online application form and payment.
- Must apply with a full stunt group - No individual applicants will be considered.
- Attend the In-Person Tryouts on June 13 (5-9pm) and 14 (9:30am-12:30pm), 2025.
- For those who are unable to attend in person, you are invited to submit a video (“Private” YouTube Video link) of the listed requirements below, following the above divisions. Please note, preference will be given to those who attend In-Person tryouts.
Application Deadline: Applicants must electronically submit all application items between June 1 - 12, 2025 via the online form to the OCF.
Application Fee: $50 per applicant (payable through the online application form).
Final Team Selection: Following the In-Person Tryout, Athletes will be selected and an email notification will be sent to all applicants (including video submissions) no later than June 22, 2025.

Financial Cost: The OCF is assisting with funding of the team; however, athletes will still need to cover some costs.
The estimated cost for athletes is: $550 (approx). This covers training (coaches and facilities), practice gear (2 T-shirts, shorts, sports bra and bow (female) or tank top (male), hoodie).
Payment Schedule: Initial deposit of $275/person due on July 11th, 2025 and the Second payment will be in September 2025. Amount of the second payment will be determined by September 1st, 2025.
** If chosen to represent Team Canada (TC), then additional costs as chosen by Cheer Canada will be required (i.e. registration, TC uniform, TC practice gear)
Team Ontario Training Information
The practice schedule and locations have all been chosen to make things simple (i.e. central locations, dates picked to avoid missing practices during “prime’ time). Currently, only the first 4 practice locations have been chosen. We will add additional locations once we see where all the athletes are from in order to accommodate. In addition, both teams (Youth, Junior) will practice at the same location to allow for more shared travelling and accommodations.

March 6-8 - OCF Provincials (Brampton, ON) demo - 1 run only

The following was Cheer Canada’s projected summary of costs incurred by a team travelling to ICU World and Junior World Cheerleading Championships in 2025. These payments are separate from Ontario Cheer.
- Team Canada Uniform and Apparel Package approx $400
- ICU World & Junior World Championship Entry Fee approx $500 USD (if you are also competing on an IASF Worlds team, then you only pay a crossover fee of approx $35)
- Airfare, Accommodation & Local transportation (airport, hotel, venue) varies

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is the OCF opening a cheerleading gym to run multiple teams?
No - the OCF is sponsoring both a Youth and Junior Team composed of Ontario athletes who will be chosen following In Person TRYOUTS. These teams will then train and submit a video to Cheer Canada in hopes of being chosen to represent Team Canada at ICU Junior World Championships in 2026.
2. When submitting a group submission does each member of the group need to submit an application.
Yes - each member of the group is responsible for applying individually and completing payment. On the application form, you will be able to list out your stunt group members.
3. Can an athlete crossover between more than one Provincial and/or National team?
No - we will expect the athlete to be focused on 1 team only (outside of their All Star gym).
4. Can an athlete submit an application for both the Youth and Junior Teams (if age eligible - athletes born in 2011)?
NO - you must choose 1 stunt group/1 division.
5. If a group is unable to attend the In-Person Tryouts - can they submit a video?
Yes - videos will be accepted up until midnight on June 12, 2025. Each group member will still be required to submit an athlete application.
Please know that preference will be given to those athletes that participate in the 7 hrs of In-Person tryouts.
